Tired of paying high utility bills?
Thanks to the Efficiency Kansas Loan Program, now is the perfect - and easiest - time to lower your utility bills by making your home more "energy efficient!" This "Low-cost loan program helps Kansans make energy-efficiency improvements to their homes and small businesses." You may be able to reduce your energy bills using Federal stimulus money provided to the State of Kansas. There is very little up front cost to you and, when combined with the savings, very little cost overall!

The program requires four basic steps:
- Have an "Energy Audit" of your house done, conducted by a certified Energy Auditor (normally $600, the Kansas Energy Office has lowered the cost to Kansans to $100)
- Review the results of the audit
- Arrange for contractor bids and financing necessary
- Have the work done.
